Files, attachments, and projects
What you can attach, how to point Vector at CAD files, and where its files go.
Attachments
- Images
- PNG, JPEG, SVG and others. Images over 1.5 MB are downscaled.
- HEIC photos
- Up to 32 MB, converted automatically
- Up to 10 MB
- Text and code
- Up to 256 KB
Drawings, photos with dimensions, and hand sketches give Vector the most to work from. Attach them with your request.
CAD files
STEP, STL, and other CAD files can’t be attached to a message. Paste the file’s full local path into your message instead, and Vector opens it from disk.
Open C:\Projects\bracket\bracket_v3.step and check it for open faces or gaps.
Projects
Every chat works in a project folder, chosen from the picker under the message box. Vector can list and search the files in that folder. With no project selected, the chat’s files go to a folder Vector keeps for that chat.
