Prepare and slice a print in Bambu Studio
Go from exported parts to a sliced plate with time and material estimates, then start the print when you’re ready.
Before you start
- Bambu Studio connected in Settings → Integrations.
- The parts you want to print, as STL or 3MF files, or a project already open in Bambu Studio.
- Your printer set up in Bambu Studio, if Vector should check it or start the print.
Steps
- 1
Set up the plate
Say how the parts should be oriented and which material each one uses.
Example request Put these three STL files on one plate, orient the clips so the layers run along their length, and use PETG for all of them.
- 2
Tune the settings
Vector changes the process settings on the open project, and each change can be undone.
Example request Use 0.16 mm layers and four wall loops for the lid only.
- 3
Slice and read the estimate
Vector slices the plate and reports time, material, and any slicer warnings.
Example request Slice plate 1 and tell me the print time, filament use, and any warnings.
- 4
Check the printer and start
Vector runs the printer’s pre-print checks and starts only when you tell it to.
Example request Check that the printer is idle and has PETG loaded, show me the bed camera, then start the print.
